What is Cleaning for Cancer Day?

Jeannie Cleaning along with local volunteers and staff will provide free cleaning to as many cancer patients in the Kalamazoo area.

Why are we Hosting this Event?

Our mission is to “Make Lives Better, In All That We Do.” We want to help take away some stress from people who face health challenges. Time is a precious gift, it should be spent with family and loved ones- not cleaning.

How Can I Get Involved?

Thank you for your interest in helping! Here are 3 options on how you can get involved…

1. Nominate

If you know someone who is undergoing cancer treatment in the Kalamazoo area. Nominate them to have their house cleaned for free.

2. Volunteer

If you want to help clean for the day- be ready to move and bend! We will have a short training in the morning then you will be led by a Jeannie Cleaning team member and clean for 2-3 houses.

3. Donate

All donations for the day are benefiting families of Kalamazoo. Please support them during this difficult time.

I WANT TO VOLUNTEER!

No cleaning experience necessary, but cleaning is a workout! Be ready to move, bend and be on your feet all day. We will meet in the morning for a welcome breakfast and training. We will provide a T-Shirt, cleaning supplies and a schedule of the day. You will be grouped with 1-2 other volunteers and a team lead from Jeannie Cleaning. The team lead will oversee the cleaning and help where needed. Each team will clean 2-3 homes. Must be over 18 years of age and have transportation. How Do I Nominate Someone or Apply for a Free Cleaning?

We want to serve as many patients that we can. Client must live in Kalamazoo County and be currently receiving treatment. Nominee must agree to have house cleaned by Jeannie Cleaning professionals and local volunteers.

 

What Does the Complimentary Cleaning Entail?

It is our Regular Maintenance Cleaning. It includes kitchen, dining room, living room, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All rooms will be dusted and cleaned including furniture, fixtures and floors.

Our goal is to help as many families that we can who have been diagnosed with cancer. TIME is the most precious thing we have when faced with health challenges. It shouldn’t be spent cleaning- let us help! If you or someone you know is battling cancer- APPLY BEFORE OCTOBER 5TH to receive free house cleaning during our “Cleaning for Cancer Day.” Patient must reside within Kalamazoo County and currently be undergoing treatment.
