Our Story
Jeannie Cleaning got its start in 2001, built from the ground up by founders who ran it with care for 14 years. In 2015, Jeannie and Terry Henderson — Kalamazoo locals with 30 years of business experience together — took over the business, determined to carry that legacy forward. What started as one office in Portage has since grown into a team with four locations across West Michigan. Through it all, the mission hasn't changed: making lives better, one household at a time.
We've earned the trust of thousands of households across West Michigan for our excellence in communication, high standards of cleaning, and commitment to our community. Our secret sauce? Cultivating and investing in a great team. When our people feel valued, they build the kind of relationship with your family and home that goes way beyond clean.
Meet Jeannie
Jeannie Henderson is the founder and CEO of Jeannie Cleaning, and a lifelong Kalamazoo resident who's spent her career building businesses rooted in her community. Before Jeannie Cleaning, she and her husband, Terry, built and ran more than 30 franchise restaurant locations together.
In 2015, they took the same entrepreneurial spirit and applied it to something more personal: helping busy families reclaim their time. Today, Jeannie is also a nationally-recognized coach for other cleaning business owners and a proud advocate for giving back—from partnering with Cleaning for a Reason to serve cancer patients, to serving on the board of Buy Local Kalamazoo.
